Using tragedy as a catalyst for meaning and growth... a GOOD thing.
ReplyDeleteMaking wild, unsubstantiated, unreasonable or offensive claims in the process... NOT a good thing.
If we could make meaning without all the ridiculous claims, we'd be in much better shape! (A formula for Judaism in general??)
(Not to mention there are arguably more critical areas for growth than "shmiras einayim", but that's a separate point.)
