Russian president Vladimir Putin had an interesting comment the other day during his "state of the union" address in which he addressed the issue of Russia's invasion of the Ukraine to take Crimea.


According to this voice-over translating the speech, Putin compared the relationship Russians have with Crimea to that of Temple Mount and the Jews.

I could not find any other voice-overs or clips with subtitles to confirm the accuracy of this translation.

Some websites say that what Putin said is "what Temple Mount is to those who worship Islam or Judaism".
