Appearance last night at Graduation Ceremony for Touro College School of Career & Applied Studies, which took place at Brooklyn College - Walt Whitman Theater.
Politics aside, if you want to feel good about immigrants and minorities, stand facing a 2000-seat auditorium filled with successful graduates and their families, many overcoming unbelievable challenges and hardship...one student lost five members of her family in one week, yet didn't allow her 4.0 GPA to fluctuate.
Hundreds of degrees awarded in high level fields of finance, technology, social services, science and medicine. Over & over..."Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Summa Cum Laude, ..." over a hundred in this one class, plus dozens more with Academic Excellence honors.
