Shauli Grossman is an ex-Chassid who used to write songs for Lipa. He also wrote the megahit "ich vill zein a Rebbe" (remember that song?).
He recently started writing a series of songs critical of Chasidic life - this is one of them.
Shauli is Pearl Reich's boyfriend or ex-boyfriend (she being the girl who wrapped tefillin on her leg naked for the new york Post).
