On the one hand the members of the current government made the issue of removing the tax on Coca Cola and all sugary drinks a central issue and fought hard to make sure it would be canceled as soon as possible, despite the fact that it isnt the healthiest of drinks. One of our ministers (Nir Barkat) even recently said he is looking into adding Coca Cola to the list of price controlled products to stop it form being so expensive. Everything possible to stop discouraging people from drinking unhealthy drinks.

Yet now in light of the viral Tik Tok trend of freezing fruit roll ups wrapped around ice cream and people being caught smuggling large amounts of fruit roll ups into the country to sell at high prices due to the shortage, the Ministry of Health has released a statement discouraging people from participating in this viral trend because of how unhealthy fruit roll ups are, pointing out the high sugar content and the trans fats, or whatever. Just to remind you, the Ministry of Health is administered by Shas, who pushed hard to stop discouraging people form drinking Coca Cola and other such drinks.

So what do they want us to do? Have freedom of choice, consume unhealthy products with no discouragement from them, or should we be careful and avoid consuming unhealthy products like the roll ups? I just dont get what they want from us...
