a united list
So it looks like Ben Gvir and Smotritch are close to an agreement on a joint faction.
I think a union between them is a good thing. I think it will make it harder for Netanyahu to leave out Ben Gvir if he is tasked to form the next government. On the other hand, it might make it easier for Netanyahu to also leave out Smotritch.
But in general it is a good thing.
They are arguing over the identity of the candidate that will take the 7th spot on the joint list. Maybe they should offer that to Avi Maoz of Noam, though it looks like they are going to leave him out completely.
Unless they can convince him to drop out, probably by convincing Rav Tau that it is necessary, leaving Maoz/Noam out of the joint faction will end up wasting votes. I don't see enough votes for 3 extremist parties on the right, with the Likud staying in the 34 range. Bringing him in to the joint faction will make it even harder for Netanyahu to bring this party into a future coalition. Netanyahu isnt into these extremists, despite his talk of a full right wing government, על מלא.
Despite it all, from a social perspective rather than a tactical perspective, I think we need fewer parties not more and that will be socially better (less election violence and fighting among people who are 99.9% on the same page). On so many of the issues they are similar enough that they should be running together.

Quote of the Day
The dream is to establish the kingdom of the Jewish nation in its land. the dream is of the return of the Jewish nation to its land, to its independence and to its language. The dream of the Jewish State in Eretz Yisrael. That is what they all dreamed about and fought for throughout the generations. They did not dream about "a state of all its citizens", and they did not dream about "the only democracy in the Middle East".
MK Avi Maoz (Noam (faction of Religious Zionism) ), in his inaugural Knesset speech

Quote of the Day
The students of Rav Tau are talking with us. We will happily want them with us. It has been made clear to them and to Eli Yishai that we will not be able to put any additional representatives on the list for Knesset, but any other form of cooperation is up for consideration. Shabbos is a fight we will not give up on. I heard that the goal of Deri is 10 mandates, so we expect no less.
-- Deputy minister Yaakov Litzman
they struck gold last time garnering Eli Yishai's support without actually giving him anything, and if they can do the same with Rav Tau, that would be amazing for them.

Is "normal" the same for Rav Tau and for Avigdor Lieberman?
Avigdor Lieberman's new campaign ads is really a spoof on Donald Trump's presidential campaign "Make America Great Again". Avigdor Lieberman is campaigning to "Make Israel Normal Again"
ok. but with Rav Tau's new NOAM' party running a similarly-themed campaign, with the slogan "A Normal Nation In Our Land", it makes me wonder if perhaps Tau/Noam and Lieberman/Beyteynu will be merging or running together as a technical bloc...
Just joking. There is no way these two fit together. Funny though that they both want to make Israel "normal", each according to its own definition. What does "normal" mean to you? It is too subjective a word to be used so ambiguously...
