laws of nature now apply to Bnei Braq

One of the Iranian rockets launched at Israel last night landed in Bnei Braq, hitting a school building which collapsed. One person was killed and a bunch of people injured (I couldnt find an exact number and only saw "tens" of people mentioned). The injured should all heal.

I admit the first thought to pop into my head when I heard of the direct hit in Bnei Braq was about the promise of the Chazon Ish. Supposedly the Chazon Ish had promised that rockets would never land in Bnei Braq and itis considered safe. Rav Chaim Kanievsky had reaffirmed that several times over the years.

Now that promise seems to have expired and the citizens of Bnei Braq might have to be concerned about the same laws of nature as the rest of us.

No, but apparently they do allow men and women to walk on the same side of the street.

They'll spin it. It'll turn out to be a non-religious guy who was killedor something.
Bene Beraq wasn't hit until now because, other than the Coca Cola factory, there's nothing to target and it's a small city.

    1. Iran doesn't target anything.

    2. I know nothing of the details of what happened in Bnei Brak, and of course people have died elsewhere, so it's bad taste at best to criticize.

What I can criticize are these bizarre reactions, from a charedi site. Seriously, this is sick:

"One doesn’t invalidate the other The area where the rocket fell was in Pardes Katz the street where it fell is one where cars drive on the Shabbat. If one doesn’t observe the Shabbat then they can’t be protected by the Shabbat"

"It did NOT fall in bnei brak, it fell on a neighborhood right next to bnei brak that was secular during the chazon ish lifetime"

"And it’s possible that the protection ended when Rav Chaim passed away." (This from the lone voice of "reason.")

"It’s a neighborhood that became chareidi much later so people think it’s like a continuation of bnei brak, but it’s still not. Ask real Israeli not people trying to make light of the chazon ish promise which still holds. Things have happened right at the borders but not directly in"

Called it! I said when the news broke that they'd spin the "it fell on the non-religious" angle.

  3. This is a very flippant post and comments about someone who was just killed.
