Quote Of The Day
Quote Of The Day
As president of the country, I attribute great importance in working with great determination to bring about the release of Jonathan Pollard.... In all my meetings with President Obama and with American government leaders I raised the clear request to release Pollard. The President's House is in close contact with the Committee For the Release Of Pollard and together, hand in hand, we will work to advance in any way possible the desired return home of Jonathan Pollard...

Ya, right.
ReplyDeleteNotice he didn't say that he would refuse the medal if Pollard wasn't released. That entire statement is a bunch of long-winded BS. He is not intending to raise a finger to release Pollard - after all, Peres himself is one of the main people who betrayed Pollard and landed him in jail for life. Rather, he will go, make a show of having done the best he could (without actually doing anything), and come back with his medal and a "heavy heart" at having failed to secure Pollard's release.
