my only comment is that if Rav Moshe held "Chalav Hacompanies" has the status of chalav yisrael, which many hold and understand from Rav moshe, then there should be no issue of neder and hataras nedarim,

I think that since even Reb Moshe held it was a good chumra, that it might indeed be a neder if someone took upon themselves to be machmir.

ReplyDeleteAlso you can see there a letter of Reb Moshe (dated after the tshuvos) where he clarifies that if one is in a location that offers CY, one should definitely buy the CY milk.
