Echoes of a Shofar (video)

I recently wrote about a reunion of the pre-State shofar blowers who risked arrest under British law to blow shofar at the end of Yom Kippur.

Thanks to Risa, I came across this amazing video, "Echoes of a Shofar", where you can see the 6 surviving blowers remember and relate their stories.

    Great movie, thanks for posting it.

    A detail missing from the movie is that every year towards the end of Yom Kippur, Rav Ariyeh Levine would walk to the prsion in the Russian Compound so that he would be there to welcome the Shofar Blower who would probably be arrested and brought there.

    And just think today Rav Aryeh Levine would be considered a Zioni kofer and couldn't get his kids into school.
