Haredi Couple Participating in New Reality TV Show About Sex

This is weird. A new Israeli reality television show is about to launch in which 5 couples with a psychologist deal with their sexual issues. One of the couples participating is a haredi couple, or at least looks so in the promo..




According to an Israeli entertainment website write-up of the show, the haredi couple are baalei teshuva living in a haredi moshav. They agreed to participate in the show after receiving permission from their rav, who is also staying with them through the process. With the Mrs. being in her seventh month of pregnancy one might wonder why they are in the show. They say that despite being fine in that aspect of their marriage, they wanted to show the secular viewing public that relationships and sexual issues are not exclusively the realm of the secular public.

Their participation till seems strange to me, even after the explanation...but if that is where they see their specialty in life and position of influence, more power to 'em..
