Beren Academy Goes To The Championship Game!
Mazal tov to Beren Academy!
After a lawsuit filed by parents forced TAPPS to reschedule the Texas State semifinals game to allow them to play on Friday afternoon, thus avoiding any conflict with Shabbos, the team went on to play and win the semifinals. (is this an example of "more than the Jews protect the Shabbos, the Shabbos protests us", or was it just good basketball?)
The next step for the team is the championship game on Saturday night against Abilene Christian High. The game will start no earlier than 8 PM on Saturday night (tonight) to avoid any conflict with Shabbos.
Beren defeated Dallas Covenant 58-46 in the semifinals game.

Unfortunately they lost the championship game Sat night, but it was a close game and they can be very proud of themselves for coming in second.
