Is it really the last kosher butcher in Chicago? So then all Shomer Kashrus Jews in Chicago buy their meat form the same place? Where do the ones who "don't hold of" Romanians get their meat from?
there are plenty of other stores that carry kosher meat, both kosher marts and supermarkets, but not in the sense of a real butcher like Romanian where they make the sausages themselves and cure the meats and prepare their own cuts of beef, etc..
I dont know if they are the last (when I was growing up in Chicago there were a few that I can remember), but thats what the video says
Abbi - not just the turkey, but all the sausages and salamis. that is the one thing I ask for when family asks what to send me.. everything else I say dont bother I can get it here.
Wow, their whole smoked turkey is AWESOME. There's nothing like it in the world
