However, Rafi, why are people going to sit on the floor, cry and give lip service to the Kinnos when they know that their behavior is the type that caused the galut and they continue to do it.
Schools that don't accept certain children, bitul of others not like us, tolerance of child abuse and those that protect them.
"But we follow our rabbonim" will be the natural answer. "We let them guide us".
So did those sitting at the seuda who saw the bizayon of Bar Kamtza.
They were just following the lead of the rabbonim who sat there as well and witnessed the "bitul" of another Jew.
It was the apathy of certain rabbonim that brought us into galut. It is that same apathy that keeps us in galut.
Only true ahavat chinam (ala Rav Kook and other great people) will bring us out.
especially all the horizontal roman soldiers in the first video picture!
ReplyDeleteYes this video is appropriate for the 9 days.

I think the moral of these videos is not to allow the kanaim to take charge.
ReplyDeletethanks rafi, these were amazing (though I had to skip over some of the fight scenes, too scary), what a powerful way to start tisha b'av.
