Picture Of The Day
The office of the newspaper of the Eida Charedis, "Ha'Eida", was vandalized last night. This is presumed to be a "retaliation" for the Eida newspaper writing about last week's brutal beating of Avraham Hirshman, one of the heads of the "sikrikim" group of thugs, and condemning it. Mea She'arim is a war zone.
MK Yaakov Katz, who was attacked by the thugs not too long ago while visiting in mea She'arim, has proposed a law to deem them a terror organization. The proposal is stalled because the Minister of Internal Security has a problem with the proposed law that he does not know how he would differentiate between the people and how he would determine who is part of the group and who is not. "Ketzaleh" said, when asked about the beating of Hirshman, that he isn't familiar with the details of what happened, but if Hirshman is one of the sikrikim he should have been beaten much worse.

ReplyDeleteBut wait! Isn't that a pre-fab Ikea desk in the middle there? They didn't have those in the ghetto back "home"! Hypocrites!
i don't it. someone trashed the place because they wrote in favor of the beating? against it? a parve article?
ReplyDeleteanyway, i have no sympathy for anyone involved. violence breeds violence is an old story and if they don't get it and think that they are immune, well now they are paying the price for attacking ads with girls.
"he does not know how he would differentiate between the people and how he would determine who is part of the group and who is not. "
ReplyDeleteUh, cause they're all dressed alike? Seriously? There are no good old fashioned detectives anymore in Israel? Where's Columbo when you need him?
Not sure if I agree that we should use State mechanisms for pursuing these guys as "terrorists" - seems it would be just another example of the police et al going after frum Jews more aggressively than the bloodthirsty Arabs.
ReplyDeleteAnd why can't what they do be called illegal already? Beating someone up doesn't warrant arrest unless the guy is a terrorist?
