A question: Maarava also teaches full bagrut, but it sends a clear message to its students that they should go to kollel forever, and barely 1% end up in college. Is Mesivta different?
ReplyDeletebeing that the Mesivta is only finishing its third year now and has not yet had a graduating class, the question is difficult to answer.
ReplyDeleteTo date I have not heard of such a policy or direction being pressed.
The only way to know is when seeing what happens to the graduating kids...
The Mesivta is different because it is a local high school - the boys live at home, not in a dorm, so their parents continue to influence them in their family values! Hopefully the boys will graduate with a high level and love of Torah learning as well as the math/English etc. under their belts that they need for future parnossa - if and when they need to use it.
