Teddy Kollek died this morning at the rip old age of 95.

Love him or hate him (for his politics), he is the man most responsible for turning the glorious city of Jerusalem into what it is today, rather than just a backwater, third-world, little town that it had been until recent history. Teddy Kollek served as mayor of Jerusalem for nearly 30 years.
