Another Israeli Wins Nobel Prize (this one in Chemistry)
Congratulations to Daniel Schechtman from the Technion, and to Israel, upon Shechtman's being awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for 2011.
I don't understand what he did - it is all Greek to me, as they say, but he made some discovery of quasicrystals that will alter "how chemists conceive of solid matter".
How pleasant to read some "nice" news, after the sirkim (or whatever the thugs are called)and riots, it's a nice change.
ReplyDeleteMaybe your baby brother will be next? He just won a Nat'l Science foundation Scholarship for his research in chemistry. Shep a little nachas, Rafi
