That judging a buchir by it's cover from innate-differences.blogspot.com is a great read. See a similar post here.
ReplyDeleteIsi Liebler: Habayit Hayehudi cannot remain silent over Rabbi Drukman - I guess some people still haven't realized the shift in power in the New Mafdal. The old Mafdal would respect the rabbis, but the new Bayit Yehudi specifically does not publicly identify with rabbis. Before the elections, Bennet said that he'd consult with rabbis but not obligated to accept the advice. Bennet, his general manager Nir Orbach, and Bennet's strategic consultant are already in progress of turning the Bayit Hayehudi into a general party with much more non-religious on board. The Bayit Hayehudi Naturally (and quite dumb) succeeded in killing off the 'extreme-right' (though did not succeed in Jerusalem) essentially making themselves the 'extreme-right'.
ReplyDeleteThe Bayit Hayehudi owes Isi Liebler absolutely nothing. He should have woken up before the elections to read the writing on the wall about the BY and rabbis.
with regards to how they related to the rabbis, if I am not mistaken the new method is not much different than the old. As far as I remember, Mafdal never committed to listening to the rabbis, just to consult and then make a decision with that consultation in mind - but not to definitely act on anything specifically said by rabbis..
Deletecorrect me if I am wrong.
I agree with your impression that the Mafdal. The torani Mafdal members broke off to form Tekumah. The difference now is that Tekumah reunited with the Mafdal in the past elections and for now, united in silence.
