OK, nice song, but is showing Jewish communities throughout the world the true meaning of ufaratzta? It seems to me that it's celebrating Galut.
For the Siyum Hashas to show Torah learning throughout the world is wonderful, but for a song to show how we have scattered throughout the world based on "ufaratzta" leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I understand that Torah has kept us going throughout the Galut, and perhaps, that was the theme of the video, but then the song's lyrics don't match the theme of the video. It just seemed weird to me.
I felt that too, but then realized that his point is to show how the torah has spread throughout the world. It isnt celebrating the spread of jews through galut, but the spread of torah to jews around the world.
I am with Yaak on this. That was my reaction to song. Catchy tune, but it left a very sour taste in my mouth. And I am pretty sure it is a misrepresentation of the words.....
