Proposed Law: 80 on Jerusalem

MK Yaakov Litzman (UTJ) proposed a law, that squeaked through the ministerial committees approval with a 5-4 vote, and will eventually head to the Knesset for approval.

Litzman proposed that the only way the government would be allowed to enter negotiations with the Palestinians regarding the possibility of giving away parts of Jerusalem would be if it is first approved by at least 80 Members of Knesset.

Immediately after the committee passed the bill, Livni appealed the decision. her appeal will prevent the bill from going to the Knesset next week for voting.

Will 80 members of Knesset ever agree on anything? I think if they can get 80 MKs to agree about negotiating on Jerusalem, it will already have to be the days of Mashiach, rendering the negotiations moot.
