Why not to rescind the free dental care reform
I like MK Litzman's protest to try to salvage one of the really beneficial reforms he implemented when he was [Deputy] Health Minister that is on the chopping block right now.
Litmzan sent a letter to Prime Minister Netanyahu requesting that he intervene to ensure the free dental care reform he implemented will not be axed with the new set of budget cuts.
Why should the dental care for kids be different than anything else? Why should this be saved while other also important items are cut?
Besides for the need for dental care even for kids fromm families who might not be able to spend the money for it, Litzman points out that Netanyahu himself during the recent election campaign bragged about the dental care reform his government had passed. he waved it like a banner to show how his government was so concerned about social welfare and health. After using it as a banner for elections, it would be wrong to allow it to be cut now. As well, the budget for this was already designated and unanimously approved, and taking t away now would be like stealing from the mouth of babes...

It would be a shame for the dental care reform to be rescinded.
