MK HAIM AMSALLEM TO SPEAK IN BET SHEMESH
I was asked to post this public service announcement..
-------------------------
Rabbi Haim Amsallem, Knesset Member from the Shas party, has been in the news recently because of his strong stance regarding the need for chareidim to be trained for work and to support their families. Additionally he supports leniencies with the conversion process for Israeli soldiers who have a Jewish father or grandfather.
Rabbi Amsallem will be speaking at Bet Midrash Torani Leumi (Rabbi David's shul) on the corner of Reuven and Asher in Sheinfeld, this coming Wednesday, January 19, at 8:00p.m. The presentation will be in easy to understand Hebrew to enable Anglo olim to benefit from the speech. The speech will focus on the Torah sources for these two issues and the actions Amsallem plans to undertake to move forward with both initiatives. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

We await the pashkevilim....
ReplyDeletenu nu so now he goes around the dati-leumi places convincing them that the chareidim should work and go to the army. i guess he will accomplish alot like that
ReplyDeleteI too dont see much of a point. It is like preaching to the choir..
ReplyDeleteAside from just being able to get exposure, it's a significant venue being that it's basically in the middle of, what's more and more considered to be, a Chareidi town. It doesn't hurt also that the mayor of the town is from Shas.
ReplyDeleteYour point, btw, very much reinforces Rabbi Amsalem's assertion that Rav Yosef is being "shielded" from him.
