Sometimes I just don't get it
Sometimes I am not surprised. Even though seemingly intelligent people support Hamas, a group of terrorists known for their brutality to their own people, for putting innocent civilians in harms way, for fomenting terror, sometimes I am not surprised. They fall for the pr blitz, for the phony pictures, for the headlines.... but sometimes I just don't get it.
Sometimes I just don't get it.
Like in the picture below.
Don't they realize that the people they are supporting are people who would murder them in a minute, if they went out in public like that in Gaza (or probably also in Ramallah and Hebron)? How can they not support a relatively free and open society that allows complete freedom for gays and is a completely open society and Tel Aviv is even known for some reason as the gay capital of the world, and a country that has pride parades in a number of its cities - how can they not support Israel that would promote their own lifestyle and allow them to live openly with full rights like in almost no other country in the world, and instead choose to support Hamas and Palestine that would more likely than not kill them for that lifestyle?
Sometimes I just don't get it.

There is a simple explanation. In many circles, particularly left-wing circles, political opinions are adopted as a matter of fashion, not as a matter of reason. Everyone I know (at least everyone who is au courant) supports X, so I support X. Today, being pro-Palestinian is au courant -- like yellow ties for men were a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteThere is no point in reasoning with such people, anymore than there would be a point in arguing over whether a yellow tie or a red tie is nicer.
Where is that?
ReplyDeleteClearly, Queers have some faulty wiring (as if we didn't know that already).
ReplyDeleteanti-semitism needs no logic
ReplyDeleteI am also against Israeli Apartheid. If I find any, I'll protest too.
ReplyDelete#1 I don't think its mob mentality at all.
ReplyDeleteIt is Jew hatred. If the Syrians, Iranians or Egyptians were doing the killing of "innocent men, women & children" there is no peep even from the Queers.
