Governor Paterson is not happy about the recent reports of him sporting a red bendel.. He claims the reports are like "throwing dung at a cross or stomping on a Star of David"..
Paterson said he decided to wear the bracelet this spring after feeling "touched" during a visit to the Queens tomb of revered Orthodox rabbi, Jacob Joseph. It's tradition for visitors to put on such bracelets, he said.
Of course it's nonsense and baloney, but all the more so since it allegedly happened at the kever of Rav Yosef, z"l, who was a Litvak from Vilna.
