According to the army spokesman who spoke at a conference called "The Manager's Forum" sponsored by HaModia, the groups of Haredim in the army are the most highly motivated of all the different groups in the army. He went on to list the number of programs that have been designed for Haredim in various branches of the military and said more are being planned. He said very excitedly that soon a program for haredim will open up as part of the Pikud HaOref- the National Home Front.

Benayahu says they sit on their tushes for very long periods of time, and the ability to do so probably comes from their yeshiva studies.. (about 57 seconds into the video)

It is great to see the ones who are serving are highly motivated, and that they see the need for more such programs.
