the Shuk - Better Than Mahane Yehuda
I was looking through the site of The Shuk, a website that specializes in selling secondhand items in Israel, and I was fairly impressed with the layout and design - specifically with how easy it is to find items, and to know if it is relevant to what i am looking for or if it is not.
Most second hand sites in Israel, most of which are in Hebrew, are difficult to navigate. they are basically one big board listing, maybe they are divided into major categories. Even then, you still have to sift through long lists of things that are for sale, until you find something that might be what you want. then you still have to figure out if that is it or not. And then, usually, you find out that they are only selling that item in tel Aviv, or Haifa, or wherever they are located, and will not deal with shipping it to you.
With The Shuk, you can easily find what is being sold in your city or neighborhood, you can easily search for the type of item you are looking for or easily navigate through the easy to use menus to find that item you need.
If you are looking for, in Israel used goods, the Shuk should be your first stop. And no, I don't mean Mahane yehuda - I mean the website.

My daughter bought a fantastic baby carriage/stroller on one of those sites. It has lasted longer than the expensive one she got as a gift for the first baby.
