Picture of the Day
In Netanya this morning a Meretz activist (possibly, this is under investigation and is claimed to have been posing as a Meretz activist) attacked a tefillin stand near a voting station and desecrated the tefillin somehow (I dont know what exactly he did with it). Other Meretz activists went and put no tefillin at the booth to protest that person's actions, and then it was followed up with Meretz activists around the country putting on tefillin to protest what that first person did. The person above said he would put on tefillin if the Chabadnik would put on a Meretz sticker, and they both did it.

I wonder if putting on an "I am anti-Torah" sticker is muttar in this situation. Maybe only if he picture taken is together with the Meretz guy in Tefillin so that it's clear why he's wearing it.
ReplyDeleteBTW, this article explains how the Tefillin in the other case was desecrated.
I know a bunch of Meretz people. None are anti-religion. Anti-rabbinate, anti-charedi, maybe. But neither of those things make one "anti-Torah".
DeleteDid you not notice the guy is wearing tefillin?
Interestingly, Galon's post (taken off a charedi site, I think) blots out the Chabadnik's sticker.
I will vehemently disagree with you. Being anti-rabbinate and anti-charedi does make someone anti-Torah in the same way being anti-Israel is anti-Semitic.
DeleteWhen one goes after the ones who dedicate themselves to the Torah the most, that person is anti-Torah.
The people who dedicate themselves to Torah the most ain't the ones being paid to do it.
