Wow - what impressed me was not only the guts he showed by just showing up, but the articulate and reasonable-sounding answers he gave to the reporter. I've been at several pro-Israel demonstrations, and one of the problems I've observed is that the demonstrators - at least the most vocal ones - come across as fruitcakes, and are therefore not taken seriously. This kid was great!
You've gotta admire that kid.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if I would have had his guts when I was in high school
Or his quick-thinking spot-on answers....
ReplyDeletereporter: "none of your friends came to support you?"
Daniel: "they didn't have the opportunity, they didn't know about it"
reporter: "how do you know that ship was armed"
Daniel: "I'm an informed person - from the news" (i.e. much better answer than internet videos)
G-d bless him!
so articulate.
ReplyDeleteThis kid totally floored me.
Mi k'Amcha Yisroel!!!
was funny to see his parents tell him - get in the car already...
That is my old neighborhood. Got to appreciate the kid keeping the streets safe. Oy.
ReplyDeletenot just in High School, but I doubt I would have the guts to do that today!
