According to CNBC, the United Arab Emirates has decided to adjust its weekend to fit more in line with global economies and to improve the work-life balance.

Friday, despite it being their Sabbath of sorts, will become a half workday, with the weekend being moved to Saturday-Sunday. This new arrangement will begin as of January 1, 2022.

Sounds great to me. And with Israel's current love affair with Dubai and the UAE, maybe this will give Israel some encouragement to follow suit (haha, we know it wont happen) and turn Sunday into a weekend...
